ALL: TJJF YORKSHIRE REGION - INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR 2025:

Tom is incredibly enthusiastic and passionate about Jiu Jitsu. Tom is the only instructor in York and has taught two clubs by himself for several years. Alongside teaching three times every week he brings the clubs to all regional and national events.

The York Uni club has had difficulties with their SU this year, but Tom has persevered, and the club has continued despite them.

Meanwhile, the club at York Town has had huge success. He taught most of the club from scratch and has raised a dying club to a now thriving one. 25+ train every session, and this year he has single handily taught 6 Greens to Purple, including 3 juniors in the Randori Nationals, the first one the club has attended in over ten years. Tom led a fantastic teaching slot at the Jr Randoris and one of his Purples achieved silver in their first Jr Randori open. Alongside another 30+ upgrades through the year for both seniors and juniors!

Tom is a role model of not to be discouraged after set backs and come back fighting stronger and fully deserves to be nominated for TJJF Instructor of the Year.
