Throwing

Throwing is possibly the most effective technique a jitsuka can use in a violent confrontation. A well executed throw requires very little effort on the part of the jitsuka as they use an opponent's own movement and momentum to drop them to the ground (which is usually enough to knock the wind out of someone at the very least). Once on the ground the attacker is in a vulnerable position that any jitsuka will quickly be able to exploit.

Before learning how to throw properly it is absolutely essential that a jitsuka learns the appropriate breakfalling techniques to allow two training partners to practise on one another safely.
