Head Locks in Jiu Jitsu
There are six head locks taught in Shorinji Kan Jiu Jitsu. Pressure is exerted on the neck and
top of the spine by manipultation of the head. Compressing the vertebrae in various ways allows the
jitsuka to restrict the movement of the opponent and at the same time provide a variable level of
discomfort (i.e. pain).
Additional information about the head locks will be added here at some point in the future - its on the
list of things to do!
